Bec McDorman, MS, RDN, FAND received her Master’s in Agriculture with an emphasis in Nutrition and Food Science at Cal Poly Pomona, while simultaneously completing the Didactic Program in Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
In 2018, she won Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year for Washington State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as the Trombley Region Clinical Excellence Award, which she won again in 2020. In 2022, she won the Carol Hayes Torio Excellence in Management Award for California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
She has worked in bariatrics, inpatient clinical, clinical nutrition management, and currently specializes in food service for tribal healthcare. She works for NANA Management Services in Anchorage, AK with her cats, Paisley Blue, Eerie and Igor.
