Virtual BuildUpMeetUp – Bayer Crop Science

October 30, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm EDT

“Bugs, Science and Agriculture” chat live with an entomologist from Bayer Crop Science. Dr. Gowda grew up in India where he worked on a farm before/after school. This was his first opportunity to learn about pest insects. In addition, he reared silkworms at home which paid for his education and taught him about beneficial insects. These experiences shaped his passion and motivation to work in agricultural research and help farmers grow crops sustainably. He received B.Sc. in Agriculture and M.Sc. in Entomology from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India. His passion for science brought him to Auburn University, AL where he completed his PhD in Entomology in 2008. Since then, he has been working at Bayer. He spent over 9 years in discovery and development of next generation of insect control products in various crops. Currently he works in Regulatory Science with responsibilities for obtaining and maintaining global approvals for genetically modified crops.

This month we are doing a series of FIVE virtual meetups in the form of Facebook Lives. Watch and participate in the #sponsored Facebook Live and take the accompanying survey. Each Facebook Live will give TWENTY people a chance to win a cool SWAG BOX valued at $50.

The Swag Box will include this set of exercise bands:
